Dr. Thulaseedhara Kurup

Dr.Thulaseedhara Kurup has been actively involved in the field of Art & Culture including Theatre and Film for the last Twenty five years as a director, researcher, organizer and teacher. He did his Post Graduation in Dramatics from the National School of Drama, New Delhi, and a Post Graduate diploma in Television Production from Hyderabad Central University. He has successfully completed his M.Phil & PhD degrees from Pondicherry Central University. In 2010 Ministry of Culture Govt. of India awarded him Senior Fellowship. In 2007 he was awarded the prestigious Fulbright Doctoral and Professional Fellowship from the United States Education Foundation to do research on contemporary American media and theatre. He has worked as Assistant Professor at the School of Drama, Thrissur, Calicut University from 2004 to 2008. He has directed and produced a number of Documentaries, Television programmes and advertisements for Doordarshan, Vigyan Prasar and DAVP. His directorial ventures like “Weathering Heights with Anna Mani”, “Cyclewala”,“Papa kho gaya”,“Poochasanyasi” “BRICS signature film” etc been well acclaimed.
